I agree with David on the Pet but had a port until I was discharged, Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment are being put inside a glass tube, the door sealed and they give you enough oxygen to simulate a 45 ft dive in the ocean. It supposewdly could rebuild blood vessels and encourage the flesh to grow back over bare bones in the jaws and mouth. You do at least 30 of these dives and sometime more. Th Dr already said he might want 10 more. NOw you know the rest of the story. LOL These treatments last for 2 hours.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
