The therapeutic dose in your blood is exceeding the manufacturers directions for use. http://www.rxlist.com/duragesic-drug.htmOne must have a doctor planned, step down, phase out plan from Fentanyl or convulsions and death could occur. 6 weeks is about an average time to minimize the withdrawal. Properly done, it should be mildly uncomfortable for about 3 days. I stand corrected some patients are on a 48 hour interval - ask your doctor why? It's not common here unless you are in some whoop ass pain!
