Gail, Am I reading your post correctly when you say that oral cancer patients whose cancer is attributed to HPV have a 59% better chance of survival?? Or are you saying that their five year survival rate is 59%. I would understand 10 even 20 percent higher survival rate, but that 59% seems awfully high. I also thought that people who came by this cancer with no risk factors had a more difficult time? I would love to hear that this is not true.

One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08).
