The patients are given anti-nausea meds as well as antihistamine prior to being given their chemo meds. I guess that’s why the first day of chemo is usually an okay day for patients. It’s when these meds wear off on the second day that the nausea and chills set in. Your husband should try to stay ahead of the curve using his anti-emetics.
