MAke sure you write down all of the questions you have and bring them in with you and go in with someone else who can also listen and maybe take notes, and mostly offer support.
You get so baffled by the doctor jargon, that it's hard to take everything in. 2 minds are better than one. Also they might also think of questions you wouldn't have thought of.
And don't be scared about asking the doctors what I used to call "stupid question". As far as I am concerned now, no question is stupid when it comes to cancer.
