I felt that for myself, it was important to BE seen by my family......to get on with accepting the "new normal"...to talk about it....and to get over feeling self-conscious. I did draw the line at my small grandchildren. I felt that I was simply tootoo scary-looking!
Colleen--T-2N0M0 SCC dx'd 12/28/05...Hemi-maxillectomy, partial palatectomy, neck dissection 1/4/06....clear margins, neg. nodes....no radiation, no chemo....Cancer-free at 4 years!
