Carol, Welcome to the site. My treatment was similar, though not as extensive. Had a tonsilectomy, then 35 rad and 3 chemo treatments scheduled every 21 days, then modified right neck dissection to remove about 30 lymph nodules in 5 lymph nodes. Rad and chemo started 1/5/04 and surgery done 5/04/04. I'm pretty well recovered from treatments, though my rad doctor said 2 years until all of the rad issues are resolved. Am in physical therapy for my right shoulder to fix the muscle problems from the surgery and lack of use thereafter. Dry mouth issues, of course, and some dental things I need to take care of, but generally, 7 months out from rad/chemo, and 4 months from surgery and 3 hurricanes later and things are OK. Just now starting to gain weight back from all of the treatments. Just had my first post treatment CT scans, chest x-ray, annual physical and all is in the good zone. Blood shows that I am anemic so they put me back on Procrit to build the blood back up, but that's no big deal. All in all, everything clear and doing good. Praise God. Will keep you in my prayers.

Regards, Kirk Georgia
