Just noticed this post. I do lurk occasionnally, but find that my chemo/radiation/PEG experience is something most people on this site have gone through and are more than willing to answer questions about. With the exception of having Hermittes Sign for about six or eight months, most of my posts are dittos of other posters. But, I have participated in both walks Elizabeth Sikon ran in San Antonio and raised a nice chunk of money for the cuase and feel pretty good about it. Elizabeth's brother also made a nice PSA type video of me that turned out excellent - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9B8QZNx4TlY. So Michael Douglas has nothing on me!!

Ran most of this year's walk until the misty rain made it a little to slippery to run on the steep pavement. I didn't want to search for a forum on broken hips. I met Charm, Christine and Eric at the two walks. All are quite strong survivors who went through a lot more than I did.

I'm about three and a half years out now and doing quite well. Today i came back to see if anyone had posted the link to this obituary - http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/saltlaketribune/obituary.aspx?n=val-patterson&pid=158526785 The guy was a victim of OC and wrote his own obituary, which I did think of while i was getting treated. It's a great read and while reading it I wondered if he was ever a member of this site. Might be worth a separate post, but here is a good start.
