You remind me of a very dear friend of mine, who made quite a difference in my and my son's life, helping us through tough times when he was surviving cancer. She was a nurse and very aware of the dangers of smoking, tried several times to quit. I've never smoked so I don't know how incredibly difficult it is to quit. But I heard the anguish in my friend's voice, a few days before she passed away, as she described how addictive it is and that it had such a hold on her. I also have another son who still smokes and when I ask how he's doing, he tells me, "I'm trying, Mom". I know from reading others' experiences that it can take many times of quitting to finally be successful. I do hope that someday you may be able to quit smoking. We want you to be safe, too. Thank you for your words of praise and blessing for those who helped you.
