He gets very depressed also. He had a barium swallow test and he did not pass it. (More depression) We live in a small town and since they don't do all the tests that a larger city does, we are going to Pittsburgh on Sept 19. We have an appointment with an E.N.T. doctor who is a speech pathologist and deals with oral cancer patients that can't swallow. They will also run more swallowing tests..I figure maybe this will help. Hang in there and take a day at a time. This whole ordeal has been a nightmare and as the caregiver my heart just breaks.
