Patty's wrong about one thing: "I wouldn't tolerate the drinking in excess". If he is truly an alcoholic than ONE DRINK is too many and one hundred is not enough. Total abstinence is the only solution.
And once again, he has to WANT recovery. Your tolerance level has nothing to do with that. HE has to be willing to go to any lengths to find recovery.
