I had problems with many foods initially, especially things that are crumbly and stick everywhere. Meat was still another problem.. beside the taste it was nearly impossible to swallow.
Try to work your way up to cream soups and then soups with vegetable, then mashed potatoes, soft pasta (macaroni) etc. I still have little spice tolerance and a normal slice of pizza may taste very spicy... One thing that was strange, I tolerated seafood from very early on (shrimp especially).
