I had my Zometa today and have been doing some more research on it and found an article which said it's now being used to treat head and neck cancer.
Also, what had had me worried was the possibility of jaw necrosis with it--as I have that anyway!!!--but apparently, if you have dental work done BEFORE starting the treatment, Zometa doesn't necessarily cause this, and it's pretty rare anyway.
My jaw doesn't appear to have shrunk any more over the last 4 months since I've been having the treatments, and the infusion only lasts 15 mins, flush before and after of course!
