Brenda, my only experience is with John's lower partial jaw bone replacement [with metal] that failed after several months- note, he fell, hit his face and that's what we think dislodged it- the rest of his jaw, upper and lower remained intact after the implant was removed- I know that's not the info you are seeking but it's all I have.
