It may be something he would never do were he not in these circumstances but it doesn't matter--at this point you need to take care fo yourself. I do think if possible your husband needs counseling. he can't be happy with himself that he behaved that way.
And you have been an AMAZING caregiver advocating for him this way. I only wish my husband was interested in doing half the advocacy and learning about what I needed when I needed him most.
