OP Contributing Member (25+ posts) Joined: Jul 2009 Posts: 31 | I am the the original author of this thread and had the ND done this past week. It was a selective ND. Nine nodes were removed. Pathology was negative all around. I have full motion of my right arm. All nerves were preserved. The operation is very doable and now one week post the incision is almost healed. I just wanted to say that its not something to be afraid of. If it's indicated for your treatment don't hesitate, I've had teeth pulled that hurt more than this.

Age 50 at DX July 13 2009. T1N2BMO, stage III BOT-2 nodes right side, HPV negative, drinker-smoker, cisplatin x 3 IMRT x 39 70 GY, pegged and ported. Started treatment on 8-3 2009. Selective neck disection 11/30/2009, 9 nodes removed-neg pathology
