Oh Amy ouch!! Well replacing my teeth is considered medical. My spend down is less a lot less than yours - only about $375. I'm not feeling great. I did get some sleep - I woke up a few times, but I had myself doped up enough that I barely noticed.

My jaw feels like it is on fire. I also threw up my first feeding this morning before I started taking any meds. I just started over. I still really hurt and I cancelled swallow therapy for today. I'm just not up to it.

I am just about angry though. I specifically asked this prosthodontist about HBOT and he said "oh no you won't need all that" and went on to tell me how awful the treatments were etc. My sister has expressed concern about his sterilization practices, but she is always fighting germ warfare even in her own home. I just know that I would hate to think that I am feeling this way because I chose a dentist who really did not know what he was doing.

I am going to rest and then try a shower and some more meds. It amazes me that it can still feel like this with the patch on. At least now I know why I felt like I was not making progress but slipping backwards the past couple of weeks. Now we get well and move forward again.
