The experiences people have may not always turn out the same for others, but it always helps to be prepared for what I call "Unforeseen Circumstances" (UC's). That way, if the UC does appear, you can better handle it and know that others have been through it and survived. As a caregiver, I usually held off on including the worrisome possibilities until or if it did happen and then I could tell my son he could handle it because others just like him did and survived.
