Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,844 | A few of us here have had a mandiblectomy as well as Perineural involvement (pni) and are still around to give advice about it. It is a big surgery and PNI can be an issue but nothing that can't be handled. Feeding tubes are no big deal....I miss mine as it was easy to shoot scotch down for a quick buzz.
This ordeal is trying but with a good support network , good medical care and the will to live there is life worth living afterwards.
