Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,219 | I read the article and find it most disturbing. Sorry that you went through that and glad that you were aware enough to prevent most of the errors that could have occured.
Although it is impossible for family to be with patients all the time, it is a good idea for them to be there as much as possible.

Retired Dentist, 59 years old at diagnosis. SCC of the left lateral border of the tongue (Stage I). Partial glossectomy and 30 nodes removed, 4/6/05. Nodes all clear. No chemo no radiation 18 year survivor.
