I do enjoy your funny wise and down to earth posts, actually your wise words often kicked me back into gear. I read you are going to move with your daughter. That sounds good. Family are so important. And you have the kiddies to distract you as well.

Girlfriend to Martin 49 years old at diagnosis
Diagnosed with SCC unknown primary June 2008.
Cancer found in single node Stage N2A (3 to 6cm).
Tonsilectomy 16th june, Radical modified neck dissection left side 30th june.
30 TX radiotherapy ended 9th October
First comparative study scan came back clear

Moving in with your family will be great medicine for you. There is nothing to compare to the love of a grandchild.
SCC stage II Partial mandibulectomy w. neck dissection- July 2005. Renal cancer w. partial nephrectomy-Jan 2004. Breast cancer discovered in routine mammogram. Successful lumpectomy, sentinal nodes clear, RT only-2008 Reconstruction of mandible w fibula free flap-Jan 09. TORS removal of begnin pappiloma from esophagus-2010. Masectomy,rt breast 2013.

Since finding this site, I quickly identified you as one of my heroes. I'll tell you that this surgery is tough, I did have my jaw replaced with my fibula and also had flap done with tissue from around my fibula. It changes some things but all in all I'll say it's not so bad....much better then the alternative.
