The info you posted if very limited. Who told him not to eat or drink by mouth? You really should question the reason they said no eating or drinking. If your father has whats called a PEG tube, then he should be able to eat and drink if he is capable of swallowing. There must be a reason he was told not to. Before you give him food or liquids, call or go to the doctor. Ask them to be more specific about that and you want to understand why he cant eat and drink. If you are to care for your father then you must be made aware of his limitations and understand them to be able to help him.
