That's exactly why we have a forum - to show empathy for others who are facing this. But remember that before the HPV connection was discovered (and that within the time that I have been a member of the forum) the main cause of OC was use of tobacco products and/or heavy alcohol use. At one time they thought that 80% of OC was by those causes. 20% were unknown cause.

People said a lot of dumb stuff to me as well. The ones I resented the most were people foisting their multilevel marketing "cures" on me like noni juice, etc. I got a lot of that BS.
