Sometimes it takes a while for the swelling to go down. I had a different type of surgery to remove a tumor from the inside of my cheek. My surgery was not complicated like what you had. The initial swelling from surgery had gone down and then it started to get worse. It turned out to be infected. If you are in doubt have your doctor check it.
