I've had so many surgeries over the years. The pain you're feeling is probably the regeneration of the nerves that were cut or damaged during surgery. This is a very good thing, especially with the neck and face. You want regeneration in those areas. I've still got "dead zones" on my torso from surgeries I had 20 and 30 years ago, because the nerves never did reconnect.
