It is also VERY common for the scans to be read and interpreted in such a manner that they won't be black and white in their findings (my first scans drove me crazy). Do NOT let this discourage you or add more fear. Scans are only a small part of the total diagnostic package. I didn't have a clean MRI for almost a year.
They should have given you meds for anxiety - most of us got them. It wouldn't hurt you to have them now either. You will have less angst the further you get from this.
My chemo experience was also the same as yours - They had to shorten it by one (I tell myself because I responded SO WELL to treatment). I am three years+ cancer free today and doing great. So will you.
