I met with the medical oncologist yesterday morning and I was thoroughly impressed. He took his time with us and had a terrific bedside manner. He also made a phone call to a colleague at MSK in NYC to get an opinion. We decided to go ahead with radiation and chemo. I'll be getting Cisplatin once a week for the duration of radiation.

I have an appointment on Monday at MSK in Basking Ridge with the head of radiation oncology. The head of head and neck cancer at MSK in NYC reviewed my case, but since the radiation oncologist there didn't have an immediate opening, they sent me to Basking Ridge. I am completely elated that I am seeing someone so soon.

I wonder how her opinion will differ from that of my current RO. I'm anxious for Monday to come.
