Cheryl, You sure are starting off on the right foot and with the right attitude to whip this stuff. I am in your corner from the get go. Just let your family know how much you appreciate them and their support. Making them feel good will enable you to feel much better and es[ecially when they treat you in a normal fashion. You sound like me and don't want pity but a little help at times . Heck, I still fight with this stuff and my family backs me but not against the wall. LOL Good luck and keep us informed about your progress.

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
