Well, my ENT was very thorough and even did a direct laryngoscopy. He also removed with a laser then entire ulcer as everyone was dumbfounded and did not know what it was. We now know that it was NOT CANCER. It was necrosis of the tissue and was causing a lot of pain. My oncologist did tell me that if it comes back as being necrotic then I will get to experience the HBO chamber. I am at home, but in a lot of pain, but so happy to know that this area was not cancer. Will have another PET in four months to see if there changes in the front of my tongue.
