I didn't see the show but I did see that Roger Ebert was doing a spate of interviews lately, after being out of the "cancer spotlight" for quite a while. BTW, if I'm not mistaken Roger's cancer was originally salivary gland, which then spread. I am reaching 9 months since Ron died, and it has not gotten any easier at all. I'm not on this forum very much because it still hurts so much, but I still care about all of you and think of you often. EZJim, I'm not surprised you're not a big Oprah fan. Did you ever really look at her audience? They all look like suburban Stepford wives, and they hang on her every word. Gives me the willies. Christine, I was so happy to see your post, and I hope you are doihg well. How is basic training treating your son? Best to everyone. Lori

Lori, cg to H Ron, age 56. Stage IV Oral SCC-T1N2. Tongue resected and right ND 8/05. Teeth removed, PORT, PEG, IMRT x33, Cisplatin x3. Tx ended 10/05. Recurrence 7/08 Stage IV. Surgery 8/30/08. 2nd recur. 11/08. 2nd surgery 2/2/09. 3rd recur. 4/9/09. Erbitux wkly. 5/09-? Ron died 6/6/09. Lori also passed away 8/20/11, colon cancer |
