I knew the last few weeks at the end of treatment where the worst before I started. I read a good deal on this site and was mentaly prepared for being flat on my back for at least a few weeks.
The answer may be as simple as haveing your dad read this site. You will find many men here who will admit they were week as kittens for a while before getting back on our feet.
