Hi from another Virginian.

Thank for your tip of putting some wet vegs on the fork with the meat. I generally don't have much of a problem with dry mouth, but when I eat everything sticks to either my teeth or the back of my mouth. I end up drinking water like a fish to swallow it.

Chocolate for me is the ONLY thing I can taste (and I'm not really a chco fan). I was hoping that my taste buds would start working sooner, but I guess I just have to be patient. Not been able to tast things has helped in one way...it's broken my addiction to sweets.

Sandy 56, BOT SCC Biopsy 1/21/09 Stage 3, T3NXM0.
Finished 3 cycle induction chemotherapy 4/7/09. (Chisplatin, 5-fu and Texotere). Re-staged 4/20/09,(very successful.) Will start Carboplatin/radiation 2 Gy/5 days/7 weeks (Tomotherapy) starting May 4th. Finished 6/22/09.
