Let me join in the chorus of congratulations. I can imagine the relief you felt. I have basically given up on PET/CT scans after two ambiguous ones. I am very glad this one came out clear as I know from personal experience that PET/CT scans can have false positives that really linger in the back of your mind. On a truly positive note, I have not heard of "false negatives" for PET/CT since Cancer has a real sweet tooth for that radioactive sugar and gobbles it up faster than any normal cell. Your courage and kindness are inspirational. I know the feeling you are describing about the thoughts that come into your brain everyday that we must get rid of. It's a shame about how people waste their days. Doing a big dance!! I had a scope done today, not the usual sinus one. This one went all the way into my stomach.
He showed me it on the little monitor. I saw my sinuses, throat and stomach. You guys should see how disgusting the mucous in your sinuses looks. Even worse is the PEG tube. It was tan and almost looked like a small donut. Boy I cant wait to be rid of that thing! Wed. is my PEG/port appointment, so very soon I will be free from my accessories.
I did give my ENT some OCF brochures to hand out. The nurses are ready to join us for the Lehigh Valley OCF walk in the spring.

That's really terrific. Getting my PEG out was such a huge step towards feeling 'normal' again. No more having to clean it, dress it, tuck it, nothin'!
Its incredibly freeing.

Such good news, I am so happy and relieved for you.
We just returned from a quick trip to Coatesville, PA to see Bill's kids...brrrr, I was cold. Snow was beautiful though. Thought I would give you a head's up on the new Direct Air flight from our lovely airport here in Punta Gorda to Allentown...direct, $49 each way on Virgin America planes that were just beautiful, new, and all teched out with interactive screens in each seat. Fun! 2.5 hours and you are in warm country! Come see us.
