ENT doesnt seem to be too concerned but hey you just never know.. he said it could be cancer at the base of the skull.. im baffled.. so over the next few days i can only pray even harder that we see some good results from this antibiotic.. any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.. thank so much! xoxo nicki

My issue with most medical professionals is that they don't think before they open their over educated pie holes. You would think a sensitivity course would be required before letting them talk to patients.
It could be a number of conditions, stye, allergies, occular cellulitis etc...of course we as patients and caregivers will automatically jump to cancer. It's difficult , I know, but don't let the mind and emotions take over and just take it one step at a time
I had my whole side of my face balloon due to occular cellulitis and had to go to iv antibiotics for a week and that happened twice.
Keep your chin up

Please smack that ENT next time you see him. I initially had one who made me feel like I was bothering him when I had things that were bothering/scaring me, so I dumped him and found another who cannot do enough for me. I pray things turn out good for you. julieann

I can't remember if your dad is being treated at a cancer hospital - if he is ask for someone else on staff if not - try to get into see an ENT there.
Good luck and hugs - you need it after this guy being such a meanie!

He has us scared to death and now constantly staring at my dad's eye checking to see if this redness is gone or not. Im not too happy at this point. Would it be too late to switch doctors?

After all you are paying his salary so he works for you. If you are worried about your father's eye ask the nurse or the doctor. In the US changing to another doctor within the same facility isnt so easy. Most doctors will not want to jump in the middle of a patients treatment especially within the same location.
