Matt has a large looking sore on his finger, cannot recall injuring it. Looks almost like an infected splinter without the splinter... no pus though, just red.


CG to my husband, Matt. Dx June 2009 Stage IV Oropharengeal SCC right tonsil primary with distant metastases. Rad to neck- Surgeries to lungs- Every avail chemo - ran out of options Jan 2012, called for hospice help Feb 2012, at rest March 19, 2012.

Never heard of this going to an extremity.

I'm not a doctor, but in 12 years of talking with patients, attending cancer conferences where cases are presented, and monitoring these forums, I have never seen it. I caution that there are no absolutes in cancer.... so make sure that your doctors are aware of the situation. I hope that this turns out to be nothing serious.

agreed, no absolutes in cancer at all
