My ENT reviewed my recent PET/CT with me. It looks good, some permanent scaring/narrowing issues to the esophagus but nothing else. So unless something changes; maybe no more PET/CT scans.
The ENT said his visual exam also looked real good and if he didn't know I had radiation he probably wouldn't pick it up. He says only an ENT would detect anything.
I asked about my somewhat saggy neckline and he said I could get a lift if I wanted, just let him know and he would get me to the right surgeon. This surprised me and is somewhat a 180 degree turn around, but he said my tissues are in really good shape.
He shifted me to appointments every three months, but other than saying I looked great wouldn't commit to an opinion on my long term outlook -- pointing out I had an unknown primary to begin with and although they did everything possible to find it, they really can't say how this all came about....(my Mom told me not to smoke in college!).
He pointed out the importance of sticking to my quarterly follow ups so if something does happen to show up they can find it quickly and get it out as soon a possible... and, of course I got the story about a patient who didn't -RIP.

My PEG phobia (Borg Device), your PEG problems.
Stephanie, You, Me and Victor - each a few weeks a part.
Tough times! Some real sad times since; I often wonder about Victor.
But, thanks for helping.
PS, I biked to the beach a few days ago with some hiking/biking buddies. One who I haven't known long asked about my PEG scar --- I just told him I had been shot!

I tell people the scar on my neck is from a knife fight at the docks in Shanghai, doing Intel during the war. Or maybe Singapore. I don't say what war.
