I didn't have the Peg and I was as fit as anyone could have been going into the Tx and I couldn't afford to loose 5 pounds. I lost 35 pounds and looked like crap. Felt worse. Nausea was my worst side effect and it was probably all my fault because nothing worked for me pain pill wise without causing nausea so I didn't keep much down and that made matters far far worse. I finally stopped all pain meds and swallowed through the pain but at least the nausea got better. Three weeks post Tx I walked out of my dark tunnel and all turned better.
I really never suffered and facial burning so I can't help you there.

Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
