Liz,

Unfortunately our legal systems sometimes are blind to the consequences of their decisions. While not perfect, rules and standards evolve over decades of issues and court opinions and after blindly applying those standards at both levels they felt as if the initial ruling and their appeal ruling met the standards they were legally bound to apply.

Do not get discouraged or let this dull your enthusiasm. I still wouldn't let up on your pursuit of justice and hopefully what you are doing now may alter future standards and therefore future rulings. The standards are set now and even this ruling can be used to justify a future ruling but public opinion can force the governing body to change the rules, upon which the standards are established.
