Maybe the bone and plate are stable and the screw is not necessary at this point in the game. I would definitely ask the Doctor. You would think the screw could be flush with the plate. I wonder if pilot holes are used? Do you think the screw backed out? I'm sure the Doctor has seen this before. Good Luck...You'll be fine.
