As the mother of 7 daughters and someone that is facing this cancer for the third time at the age of 46, I can understand your feelings AND your mothers feelings. If and when I find myself in your mom's position, what I would need more than anything is to know how my girls were feeling. Moms are just like that, our children, from the moment we know we're pregnant, become far more important than ourselves. Your mom will spend most of her time worrying about how you get through this.....so tell her, talk to her.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
