As others have stated just spend as much quality time as you can with your mom. I hope that she is able to get into hospice care ASAP, as making her comfortable should be at the top of the list. Your mom will go through stages as your hospice helper will let you know, the last being acceptance. We went through this about eight months ago with my sister, she was able to accept her new journey and went peacefully. We know that we will see her again, when it is our time...but it still hurts and we miss her tremendously. I hope your mom will be well enough to go to the seaside vacation you have planned, it will give her and your family some wonderful memories. Wishing you peace and strength.
