On most all pressure cookers you have a pressure setting. My cooker has setting for 5, 10 & 15 PSIG.

WARNING PHYSICS LESSON FOLLOWING:
5 PSIG is the 5 Pounds per square inch GAUGE, or pressure above atmospheric pressure which at sea level is approximately 14.7 PSI.
