Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | You probably should have had the cat scan or MRI so they know the extent of WHAT is there, especially if the doctor wanted one. Fine needle biospys aren't always accurate because they can miss the spot that has cancer. I would have prefered a surgical biopsy if that was available. That way you also would have had the results immediately.
Have they given you a treatment plan if the results come back postive? I found it easier to cope once I knew what was going to happen and had time to digest it. You CAN do this.
