Hi guys, hope you all enjoyed Halloween. I had my tumor removed one year ago today...wow. It really does feel like yesterday. I had a great time with my daughter today, went to her school for their paper mask parade (they were so creative) and trick or treating with her tonight and I'm pooped.
Anyhow, I made it back into see my ent on Monday morning. He agreed that the bump on my palate was not as prominent as before and swelling gone. He wants to give it a month to see if it goes away. If it doesn't we will biopsy. Ofcourse, if it swells again or grows bigger he wants me in right away. Im praying it goes away and I was stressing myself out over nothing. It's still a worry, but Im feeling much more relaxed for the moment.
My mom got tatooed for the beginning of her radiation tx's for breast cancer today. Id really like to believe that after she is done, we won't be dealing with the c word again. I know, maybe too much to ask for.... cystic fibrosis, and cancer.....yuck. I hate the c word.
Thank you to all who replied to me. It is nice to be able to have a place to vent and have someone that can share similar experiences, even though they arn't pleasant ones, ones that you can relate to.
Happy Trick or Treat day,
Laura
