Didier, The top and tip of the tongue are not usual places for this cancer. If they tested for yeast (thrush) then it may be something called "geographic tongue". It is harmless and sometimes looks like a map with splotches and lines (hence the name geographic) The cause is not well known and it usually goes away by itself. By all means have the ENT look to be sure. Try to relax.
