Patient Advocate (old timer, 2000 posts) Joined: May 2002 Posts: 2,152 | Georgia, I had several bronchospies after an incidence of unexplained bleeding from the lungs in 2004 and the CT scan didn't produce any cause for the problem. They would have done a biospy at that time if they thought it was necessary. A properly done biospy should not cause it to spread faster(I'm not in the medical field). I had a surgical biospy on both my cancers prior to diagnosis. A look-see might tell them more. Second opinion never hurts.
