My heart goes out to you having to face this.
I am also at the hospital today for my second CT scan--last one was in June when they discovered that
it's in my lung (also in 2 places) and I also have lesions on my liver.
I also had no chest/back/shoulder problems and 3 months on, still don't--although last week did have a bad bout of pain---which turned out to be wind!
My last chest X-Ray showed that the lung tumour hasn't shrunk, but hasn't grown either, so the chemo gave a 'good' result for the time being--with minimal side-effects.
I didn't have a lung biopsy, but had had one on my jaw as it was that which had the problems.
I know none of this answers your questions, I guess only the docs can and I hope you get some hopeful news today. Will be thinking of you whilst I'm in the 'polo mint'!
