assuming that your father gets IMRT there is no way that the skin gets warm from the radiation itself. Sure it is high energy but the density is very very low.
Assume your father gets 66 gray (66 J/kg) and 33 treatments. That is about 2 gray per treatment. Also that is PER kg of irradiated tissue. Further assume that they actually treat 1 kg tissue with the this max intentity. This energy deposited uniformly will increase the temperature of 1kg of water by 0.0005
