Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 1,116 | Laura, I am praying your lump does go away, I went in for a check of a sore I noticed and my surgeon was immediately suspicious of the lump that he biopsied and turned out to be c, I hope yours goes away and NEVER comes back.....Lois and Buzz, I was told I had the maximum amount of radiation the last go around which was 7 weeks of radiation...but my surgeon is checking with my oncologist....my husband asked about chemo, no answer on that one yet....will find out more Wed. Diagnosed May 2002 with Stage IV tongue cancer, two lymph nodes positive. Surgery to remove 1/2 tongue, neck dissection, 35 radiation treatments. 11/2007, diagnosed with cancer of soft palate, surgery 12/14/07, jaw split. 3/24/10, cancer on tongue behind flap, need petscan, surgery scheduled 4/16/10 ---update passed away 8-27-11---
