So, it's time for another update. I found a bump on my tongue (the old side) near the incision line 10 days ago. I told myself not to panic, and did pretty well at that. I am scheduled to see my surgeon on June 20, so I figured I would wait and show him. It got a bit more painful, and I became a nervous Nellie, so I scheduled an early appointment with my non-surgical ENT, whom I saw today.

Thankfully he has said it is likely just an irritation (the pain went away yesterday, and the bump is hardly noticeable now). I felt like a twit, but he was awesome and told me that I should never feel bad about getting things checked.

So, note to all out there as well having the same thoughts.

I will of course tell my surgeon, but so far, still looking good.
